Purpose: MoECHE Quality Benchmarks are the minimum standards for school programme activities — ensuring they are carried out through agreed processes and result in quality outputs and outcomes. Use them as a reference, run the scoreable checklist to monitor a school and generate an improvement score, and view the dashboard for aggregated results across schools and states. Standards draw on MoE guidelines, INEE and Sphere standards, and field practice.

Quality Benchmarks are minimum standards for programme activities to ensure they are carried out following agreed processes and result in quality outputs and outcomes. They let monitors quickly identify gaps in programme quality when standards for good field activities are not met — so schools and partners can improve to realise expected results.
The benchmarks draw on Ministry of Education guidelines, INEE Minimum Standards, Sphere standards, and lessons from field-level implementation. They should be adopted as appropriate at project level. As new interventions are added to a programme, benchmarks to implement and monitor them are developed.
